Reaching the threshold, being at the doorstep of something, is related to having the courage of launching oneself onto a purpose, onto a path. With deep passion and some tools, that step will serve to achieve a goal that is born to a decision. Parallel to this activator, I think of the simulation, the simultaneous realities and the mirage that are given as an illusory image in that already exhausted state of desire. I think of the desert.

Opportunities, time, hints, love; we are always one step beyond looking for what we want, at the threshold of what is (un)known. It doesn’t happen when you want it to, it happens when you strive for it. In that continuous balance of getting it wrong and getting it right, in that immense margin of error, but also of possibilities, are the mysteries to be unraveled, are the challenges of an eternal seeker.

Almost always what is apparent is deceptive, behind the surface there is a world that people conceal to a greater or lesser extent. We have innate and other learned defense mechanisms that allow us to coexist with the structures outlined by society, but that does not mean that this is all that we are. This “playful” door keeps a very crude reality: trying to access another space, another dimension, and sometimes succeeding and sometimes never finding the key. It looks like a game, but it is a riddle: access will only be achieved by trying to reach it.

The dimension of this symbol -uncountable locks that work, but do not open and where one can only access a space or leave it- can be taken to all perspectives of life and its circumstances: starting with your most longed personal and professional desires, to the mental reference: who gains access and who does not access to this intimate dimension. How difficult it is to generate this link and to remain in someone’s memory!
