Seedbed
Acrylic, manufactured paper, roots, glued and burned matches / canvas
130 x 90 cm
2022

Seedbed is part of a recent series where I use references to nature in parallel with allusions to everyday experiences lived or observed around me. I have always been interested in the genesis of things, an exercise that began with my curiosity for etymology, as a hobby with words whose origin is sometimes obscure or distant.

On many occasions I find myself overanalyzing something to find the cause of what happens or happened and thus understand the reason for its course; it is my need to understand, to know where I am. I have discovered my interest in the search for truth in the hidden depths, under the surface, in those dimensions that no one accesses and that come to me as images, realities or intuitions and that I recreate symbolically, in those spaces where they germinate. In these processes, I am not only vehicle for what I know, but also for what I learn.
