Though we may not always believe it, one expects to receive as much as one offers. In terms of love, a human being needs to feel compensated and evenly matched, among the thousands of millions of people that exist, with the person one chooses or is by our side.

Sometimes it is fortuitous like an instant, and you would like to make that moment eternal, but it can be ephemeral, leaving you with a sweet aroma or a bitter taste.

In this piece I resort to what is material to explore the concept of the “ideal present” that the mind activates as an expectation, but that comes to us to stay as something empty, dry, petrified, of what was once beautiful and that, when preserved in a state in which it can no longer change, it acquires another dimension of beauty.

If you allow yourself to understand that life is full of these encounters and misunderstandings, the gift remains as in a showcase according to our own resilience.
